With Insightech’s content analysis, you can draw key insights about the components from your website to improve customer experience for future revenue opportunities.

Three ways to for Content/UX Analysis with Insightech

  1. Analyse Click Map Revenue Report Impacts
  2. Measuring the Impact of Content Seen
  3. Page Analysis for Content Engagement

Analysing Click Map Revenue Reports

By setting up a conversion metric, you are able to see how much revenue particular content clicks were involved with. Multiple elements can also be involved in the same sale when driving a conversion.

This is done retroactively through the real-time data captured with Insightech.

To do this, set-up revenue reporting in the admin panel of your Insightech account. For more information on the set-up and capabilities of conversion metric tracking, click here

Measuring the Impact of Content Seen

Insightech's Scrolling Heat Map allows you to create segments and filters for content viewed within a webpage. Apply these segments to the funnel to see conversion rate differences of each piece of content.

Here is an example of a template that we use when analysing different website content.

Below is a Step-By-Step Guide

1. Navigate to the Page Analysis section in the Insightech UI

2. Select a particular page URL once the desired field and date filters have been applied

3. Go to Analysis → Scrolling Heat map in the Session Replay

4. Determine the different sections the webpage and note them down in a spreadsheet.

These sections are to your discretion but should be differentiated by the types of meaningful content that is present.

For example - The Insightech Homepage has the following sections to impact customer behaviour:

1. Header & Main Summary
2. Brand Partners
3. Session Replay Feature Summaries
4. Customer Testimonials
5. Footer

5. Scroll down to the bottom of the first pre-determined section within the Session Replay

6. Click on this approximate point to create a segment which will automatically redirect you to the Replay List

7. Save this filter as a segment within the Segments & Filters section.

Recommendation

1. Input the Pixel Count shown in the segment into your spreadsheet for accurate tracking

2. Edit the Page URL portion of the segment from 'is' to 'contain' to include any variations of the PAGE URL customers may enter through

3. Alternatively, you can use a keyword instead of URL. For example, if all checkouts URLs on your website have the word “Checkout”, we recommend Contains – “Checkout” filter

8. Note down your existing default conversion rate found in your website funnel seen in the  Funnels section of the Insightech platform.

9. Apply the Segment created. Insightech will what the conversion rate based on how many users view this piece of content.

  • If this modified conversion rate is higher than the default conversion rate, this content drives conversion

  • If this modified conversion rate is lower than the default conversion rate, this content has little or negative impact on conversion

10. Input this data on the spreadsheet

11. RepeatStep 5 to 10’ with all the subsequent sections of your website

12. Calculate the uplift for each piece of content. The uplift is the difference between conversion rate between one section between from the section before it.

  • Comparisons can be made between impact of each section on conversion rate with this Uplift Data
